CY-Q: STRATEGIC ALLIANCE BETWEEN CYFAST & QUALITY GROUP
A press conference took place on the 19th of February 2010 for the official announcement of the new company called CY-Q. Cyfast and Quality Group have decided to join forces with the objective of becoming market leaders in the construction industry. CY-Q is therefore a strategic alliance of the 2 organisations which promises superior quality and reliability in products.
The purpose of the press conference was to officially announce the creation of the new company, CY-Q, and also to present the first project undertaken by the company. This new project will be situated in Nuevo Campo, Latsia, Nicosia and will consist of 34 houses with a range of covered area from 135 m2 up to 200 m2. Prices begin from €249,000 and go up to €320,000 plus VAT. CY-Q is adapting this strategy in order to match the needs of the Cyprus market. As stated by Savvas Kakos, the C.E.O. of Quality Group, this new project is directed to the Cyprus public for the purpose of fulfilling the dream of owning a house. This scheme will enable Cypriots to buy a house at a very reasonable price.
Savvas Kakos states that “The crisis is only in our mind. Therefore we have decided to take a number of strategic decisions and offer something unique to the public. We are confident with our decision and with the choice of our associate. We have vast experience in the construction industry and we know exactly what the public needs, therefore we have no doubt that we will succeed. We have significantly lowered our profit margin and minimised construction costs because we understand that current prices have made the purchase of a house almost impossible, especially for young couples.” The project is expected to begin in September 2010. More projects will follow in the Nicosia District since this project has proven to be very popular among Cypriot buyers.
